Meet Brandon Scott

Brandon Scott is a 24 year-old man with athetoid quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He and his mother Tracy invited Ann Jackson DPT, PT, MPH and Phil Bertuflo, videographer, into their home and his day program to share aspects of his daily life. This video is divided into 4 chapters.

Chapter One: At Home.

Brandon and his mother, Tracy, share Brandon’s life and daily routine at home. Tracy points out the various accessibility features of the home which help to facilitate Brandon's care. (~ 16 minutes)
Chapter 2: At Day Program

Brandon is seen at his day program called Opportunity Knocks with one of the program leaders, Corrine Arquette. They discuss Brandon’s daily routine at OK as well as Brandon’s interest in cooking and rock climbing (~ 5 minutes)
Chapter 3: Speech Therapy

Sandy Chiampas, Brandon's longterm speech therapist, discusses Brandon's journey with his speech device that uses eye-gaze equipment. (~29 minutes)
Chapter Four: Follow Up

In this final segment, Brandon and his mother stress the importance of advance care planning, particularly when a major life change occurs. (~15 minutes)
