Justin Herbst

Introduction

Justin Herbst is a 37 year-old man with cerebral palsy who invited Ann Jackson DPT, PT, MPH and Phil Bertuflo, videographer, into his home and his work site to share aspects of his daily life. The video is structured as a conversation between Dr. Jackson and Justin. His story is divided into 3 chapters:

    Chapter One: Introducing Justin
    Justin introduces himself, his daily routine and how he works with personal assistants. He discusses some of his frustrations with transitioning into adulthood. (~21 minutes)

    Chapter Two: At Home
    Justin gives a tour of his home and the many thoughtful accessibility features that were planned when it was remodeled for his needs. He explains that currently lives with a roommate and shows his robust video game setup. (~16 minutes)

    Chapter Three: Work and Commute
    We see Justin's commute to work in his power wheelchair. We see him next at his workplace, Beds Plus, where he works as a receptionist. He also gives a glimpse into his two other part-time jobs. (~19 minutes)
